Working Days
Manage standard working day configurations for payroll calculations, including creating, editing, and deleting work week setups.
4.3 Working Days
The Working Days section is used to manage standard working day configurations that are applied during payroll processing. These configurations define the number of working days in a week for different employee categories.
Accessing Working Days
From the main Dashboard, hover over or click the Payroll tab in the top navigation bar to reveal the dropdown menu. Click Working Days from the dropdown list to access the working days configuration page. Working Days is the third option in the Payroll submenu, located below Payroll Settings.
Working Days List
The Working Days page opens with the List Working Days tab active by default. The page features two main tabs:
- List Working Days – View all working day configurations.
- Add Working Days – Create a new working day configuration.
The working days data table displays the following columns:
- WORKING DAYS – The working day configuration name or number (e.g., 5 Days Week, 5.5 Days Week, 6 Days Week, Office Hours).
- DESCRIPTION – Additional details or remarks about the configuration (optional).
- STATUS – Current status displayed as a colored badge (e.g., Active in green).
- ACTION – Available action buttons for each record.
Each row has two action buttons in the Action column:
- Edit (pencil icon) – Modify the working days configuration.
- Delete (trash icon) – Remove the working days configuration.
The table also includes standard controls: an entries-per-page dropdown (set to 10 by default), a search bar, an Export button, and pagination controls at the bottom.
Adding a New Working Days Configuration
To create a new working day configuration, click the Add Working Days tab. This tab is located next to the List Working Days tab and is marked with a plus (+) icon. The arrow indicates where to click to begin creating a new working days record.
Fill in Working Days Details
The Add Working Days form contains the WorkingDays Details section with the following fields:
- Working Days – Enter the number or name of working days (required field, e.g., 4).
- Description – Enter additional details or remarks about the configuration (optional).
After entering the required information, click Submit to save the new configuration, or click Back to return to the list without saving.
Working Days Created Successfully
Upon successful submission, a green success notification toast appears at the top of the screen displaying "Success! Working Days Created". The system automatically returns to the List Working Days view, and the newly created record (e.g., 4) is added to the working days list with an Active status badge. The new configuration is now available for use in payroll calculations.
Editing a Working Days Configuration
To modify an existing working days configuration, click the Edit button (pencil icon) in the Action column of the desired row. The arrow indicates the Edit button for the 5 Days Week record. This opens the Edit Working Days form with the current values pre-filled.
Update Working Days Details
Clicking the Edit button opens the Edit Working Days tab with a pre-filled form containing the existing record data:
- Working Days – Pre-populated with the current value (e.g., 5 Days Week).
- Description – Pre-populated with existing description (if any).
Modify the necessary fields and click Submit to update the record, or click Back to cancel the changes.
Working Days Updated Successfully
After submitting the edited form, a green success notification toast appears displaying "Success! Working Days Updated". The system returns to the List Working Days view, and the updated record reflects the new changes in the working days list.
Deleting a Working Days Configuration
To remove a working days configuration, click the Delete button (trash icon) in the Action column of the desired row. The arrow indicates the Delete button for the 4 Days Week record. A confirmation dialog will appear to prevent accidental deletion.
Delete Confirmation
A confirmation dialog appears with the message: "Are you sure to want delete the Record:" followed by the working days value (e.g., 4) highlighted in orange. To proceed with deletion, click the Delete button. To cancel and keep the record, click Close.
Working Days Deleted Successfully
After confirming the deletion, a green success notification toast appears displaying "Success! Delete Working Days Deleted". The record is permanently removed from the working days list, and the system returns to the List Working Days view. The deleted record (e.g., 4) no longer appears in the table.
